In earlier years people had limited resources to use for school and entertainment and relied on only themselves and the people in their community for answers. With computers people have access to the Internet where they can communicate easily with people all around the world. Also computers have given us many different resources to use for all areas of everyday life. The computer has also provided us with a new effective and helpful tool for the education world.

The computer gives us access to many programs as well as the Internet to use for education. Programs such as Word and PowerPoint gives us a new working environment, which makes it easier to write essays and make presentations. Also, programs such as Word makes it easier to change mistakes on a writing assignment rather than having to rewrite the entire assignment because a change was needed somewhere in you writing. Word also a program within it that will notice if a spelling or grammatical error is made. This can really be helpful because it won’t be needed to rely on having someone else proof read the assignment because there is a chance that they could miss a mistake that the computer wouldn’t miss.

Also, the computer has been able to help businesses with all the parts and necessities of running a business. They can help with everything from making forms and documents to doing payroll for the employees. Using computers in business makes some tasks quicker to do which makes the company more efficient to keep up with competition. Also computers let you network throughout the building making it easier to transfer documents and such from one floor to another, which also saves paper and time. Being able to use a portable computer or laptop for work is very helpful because you’re then able to take your work home with you much easier.

Computers are also a good form of entertainment. There is an endless amount of games for the computer along with Internet games that can be accessed on a computer. Computers can also be used to edit those fun videos you made with friends or family. Also, they can used to create CDs with your favorite songs. They can be used to download and add songs to an iPod, which can be taken anywhere to listen to music in the car or other areas of your home. They also make shopping on the Internet much more convenient and make finding things of your dreams much more realistic and it’s also quicker than having to drive to the store and much cheaper with the price of gas recently.

Computers are helpful in all areas with everyday life and are becoming better and better each day. Everyday there is a new advancement with computers to make them better and offer more features. Features such as touch screen and wireless components make it so much more fun and easy to work or play on a computer. Also, computers are becoming a bigger part of cars making driving safer. Things such as robots for factories that come from computers make the factory more efficient. Computers benefit society greatly and they are accessible to almost everyone whether you have one in your house or use one at a public library.
